Day 3 Lesson Plan

Classroom Teaching Methods and Skills
for Successful English Language Instruction


Lesson Plan Outline for Friday, April 2, 2010

I. Morning Warm-up (LWDAT use arrival time productively)
A. Write directions on board:
1. Pick up packet (crossword puzzles/word searches), from front
desk.
2. Choose 1 sheet. Put it in your sheet protector. With a
grease pencil, complete the sheet.
3. Be prepared to tell how this activity could help your
students.
B. Greet students at door. Instruct them to read the front board and follow the directions.
C. Give students time to complete one sheet. Then ask them to share with the class how this activity could help the students in their classroom.

II. Prayer

III. Sing “Make New Friends” song (round); “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” – (round)

IV. Break into groups to share lesson plans (homework assignment). Lesson plans must have

A. Objective (LWDAT …..)
B. Tell what students need to know in order to be successful
C. Activities to teach to objective
D. Evaluation

V. Whole Group – Situation Pictures (1 set for each teacher) (LWDAT use descriptive language to explain what is happening in a given picture.)

VI. Feedback for Sandy and Reggie on seminar.
